Book Review: Down the Wormhole by: Ana Franco

Publisher: French Press Bookworks

Publication Date: March 17, 2015

Origins:  From Author for Review

Synopsis: Medusa is a nice girl, Aphrodite is empowering, Loki vanished on thin air, Isis doesn’t have a memory and Anubis is the only sane one. Join them all in an adventure that mixes the styles of ABC’s Once Upon A Time and Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson. What this can possibly mean? Why, chaos, of course!

Review: DOWN THE WORMHOLE is the first book in the Wormhole series and has a good concept. I wanted to be able to get into the characters and story, but the characters were not very likeable and the story seemed disjointed. . I thought the combination of mythologies was interesting. Perhaps an additional pass through by an editor would have benefited DOWN THE WORMHOLE. I was only able to get halfway through the book before I could go no further. I wish the author the best of luck on her forthcoming novels in this series and her writing career as a whole.
