Review: FALLING FOR YOU is a romance novel a little outside the norm. The main character, Alexander (Alex) Lawford, pines for his best friend Marisa. He thinks she’s the perfect girl for him and he’s tired of being relegated to the “friend zone”. So after her fifth breakup in two years, he’s had enough of having to come to her rescue and tells her how he feels. Needless to say, this doesn’t go well and now Alex needs to find a way to make Marisa see him in a new light. Taking lessons from a good friend, Alex is willing to do what it takes to finally get the girl of his dreams.
FALLING FOR YOU has a great main character in Alex and some wonderful supporting characters, like Damon. I think once Alex overcame his fears and rediscovered his confidence; he should have taken a good long look at why he feels like he loves Marisa and who she really is. I did not like Marisa at all because she is “me, me, me” all the time and couldn't stand it when Alex wasn’t at her beck & call. I didn't think she deserved Alex as a friend or a love interest. Alex is a wonderful guy, someone you can really cheer on. I’d have been happier seeing Alex with Cassandra, but he had his heart set on Marisa. This is a well-written romance novel, with good humor and a great hero. FALLING FOR YOU teaches a valuable lesson – to thine own self be true!
