Synopsis: Angelina Hathaway was a baby when her mother gave her up for adoption. Now eighteen years old, she meets Guillermo - a handsome, arrogant boy who was sent from Europe to tell her that she’s inherited a vast fortune from her birth parents along with an explosive secret about her lineage that will change her forever.
Unfortunately, there are people who know her secret and will stop at nothing to control her for their own purposes, or even kill her. In order to escape, she must decide between those she can trust and those she can’t…before it’s too late.
Interview: Q. Please tell us about the inspiration for your current release.
Without spoiling the book for anyone, I was inspired by the theory presented in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I couldn’t stop thinking about the concept and, if it was true, how it might affect life as we know it. In the book, I play with the theory and take it to the next level.
Q. How did writing this book affect you?
As part of my research, I had to read a lot about secret societies. I can’t say whether they exist or not, but it kind of makes you suspect that the world may not be exactly as it seems.
Q. What is the hardest part of writing for you?
There were so many ideas that I had for this concept – it was hard to narrow it down! Thank goodness this is only the first book in the series. I still have plenty of books ahead of me to play out some of my ideas.
Q. What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
My best ideas come to me while I’m hiking. I think fresh air and exercise are the best way to get the brain moving too.
Q. Do you plan any subsequent books?
Definitely! I’m working on the next book in the series which will only mean more adventures for our heroine.
Q. What are you currently reading?
MILA 2.0. So far, there have been some great plot twists. It’s a brilliant idea for a story!
Q. Please tell us your latest news (book-related or not!).
We just got a new kitten and named her Daisy. She’s very sweet and we’ve fallen in love with her.
Q. Please tell us a fun-fact about yourself!
I love to sing. I’m always singing to my kids who love to join in. We’re a very musical household.
Q. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
