Interview: Q. Please tell us about the inspiration for your current release.
The entire Breathless trilogy was borne of a mixture of my Sweet Series and my Harlequin Desires. I took the things I loved most from both sets of books and combined them into one trilogy. It was a lot of fun!
Q. How did writing this book affect you?
It was fun but also emotionally draining. It was heavy at times, so I would write quickly to get beyond the really emotional parts so I could get to the lighter more “fun” parts.
Q. What is the hardest part of writing for you?
Just having the discipline to sit down and write every single day even when I don’t want to. If I’m having a bad day or I’m tired and burned out. Sometimes it’s hard to MAKE myself do the job.
Q. What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
How frighteningly rigid I am about “change” lol. I’m SO not anal about anything and I’m a disorganized mess BUT when it comes to writing, I format every single document the exact same way. I use the same font I’ve used since I began writing. I use the same page format I’ve used since day one of my writing career. I hate change!
Q. Do you plan any subsequent books?
Oh absolutely! I have lots of stories left to tell. I’ll be announcing details about a new trilogy releasing in 2014 plus I have more KGI stories, more historicals and a few other surprises in the works as well :)
Q. What are you currently reading?
Unfortunately I’m trying to make a deadline so I’m not reading ANYTHING and won’t be able to until I finish writing MY current book.
Q. Please tell us your latest news (book-related or not!).
I’ll be posting details of a new trilogy releasing in 2014 later in August!
Q. Please tell us a fun-fact about yourself!
I won’t eat anything “green” ;)
Q. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Just a huge, HUGE thank you for supporting my career and for sticking with me book after book and for being so loyal. I would NOT be where I am today if it weren’t for my awesome, amazing readers. They are who make my job what it is and I can never fully express my appreciation for all they do for me! xoxo
