Synopsis: On the evening of Sofia Claremont's seventeenth birthday, she is sucked into a nightmare from which she cannot wake.
A quiet evening walk along a beach brings her face to face with a dangerous pale creature that craves much more than her blood.
She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine. An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains.
Sofia's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.
Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night.
Will she succeed? ...or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?
Author Interview: Q. Please tell us about your current release.
A Shade of Vampire is my debut release. It was published December 14, 2012 and quickly became the #1 Christmas Bestseller in Vampire Romance, Paranormal & Fantasy on Amazon.
Q. How did you come up with the idea for your book?
Honestly, I’m not sure where the original inspiration came from. I’ve always loved the fantasy genre and been intrigued by vampires and their interactions with humans. The idea for this book just sort of popped into my head one day as I was daydreaming.
Q. If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything about the book?
The very first cover of the book was not very good. I would have launched with the current cover instead which reflects the story much better.
Q. What was the hardest part of writing your book?
The hardest part of the writing process always comes at the start for me. I normally have dozens of ideas floating around in my head all at once for how I want the story to play out and it can be daunting trying to organize them on paper.
Q. What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
I start my day early. I mean, really early: around 1.30am.
Q. Do you plan any subsequent books?
Yes, I’m currently working on the sequel to A Shade of Vampire.
Q. Please tell us your latest news.
The book recently hit about 35,000 downloads which I am over the moon about!
Q. Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
