Synopsis: Fiona must keep her ability to read minds during sex a secret from those determined to exploit her, especially a sexy truth-finding investigator who needs her psychic power to save his job.
Fiona has spent her life hiding her sexual mind-reading power at the risk of being exploited by the government. Instead, she pretends to have lifebond vetting powers like the rest of her family. When her fake power results in the death of an innocent woman, her life of lies unravels and she retreats to the Wiccan Haus.
Armando is the head of the Department of Truth-Finding for the Syndicate. To prove his unit’s worth to the government, he follows Fiona to the Wiccan Haus to expose her as an infiltrator of an enemy faction. The truth about Fiona is even more valuable to his people and his career.
Fiona uses her power to seduce Armando and stop his plans to betray her. But nothing is strong enough to keep her from falling in love with this man whose power threatens to destroy her. Now she must trust him, not only with her life and her psychic lies, but also her heart.
Review: Fiona grew up in a Vetter family and no one alive now, except Fiona, knows she’s not really a Vetter. When one half of a life-bonded couple is murdered seeming by her mate, Fiona is disgraced as she was the one who vetted the couple. She’s come to the Wiccan Haus for rest and healing, but she may find even more than she was looking for…
I’ve been thoroughly entranced by the Wiccan Haus series from the beginning and Ms. Daniel’s latest installment does not disappoint. Poor Fiona has had to lie her entire life and when she meet Armando, a truth-finder, she’s more exposed than she ever has been before. I don’t know if I could handle having Armando’s powers. Being able to tell if people are lying by just a touch brings with it a huge responsibility! As Armando gets to know Fiona, the sparks fly and something more than what they bargained for occurs. While Fiona’s been hurt many times before, she is troubled by not knowing her own worth. ‘Psychic Lies’ is a touching and extra-steamy book. I hope other readers are enjoying this series as much as I am and read to discover the truth behind ‘Psychic Lies’!
