Vampires, werewolves, mages–the Others are very real, and wreaking havoc in Shiarra Waynest’s life. But now, she’s returning the favor…

Once, she was one of the good guys–or as close as a New York P.I. can get. Then Shiarra Waynest was drawn into the world of the Others. Every faction has its own loyalties and agenda. And Shia’s recent betrayal by her ex-boyfriend means that she may be on the verge of becoming a rogue werewolf at the next full moon.

Of course, with all the threats against her, Shia’s not sure she’ll live long enough to find out. The enigmatic vampire Royce wants her back in his clutches, as do two powerful werewolf packs, along with the police. Instead of going into hiding, Shia is enlisting the aid of her enchanted hunter’s belt and every dirty P.I. trick she knows. If she’s going down, she’ll take out as many of her enemies as she can–and hope that in the process, she keeps whatever humanity she has left…

Review: Shiarra Waynest and her business partner Sara had run a normal P.I. agency, dealing only with human cases until Shia gets dragged in kicking and screaming into the world of the Others. Vampires, weres, mages, and much more were awaiting Shia. Now Shia's done being messed with by the Others and has given into her need for revenge. With help from her P.I. training, the White Hats, and the enchanted hunter's belt, she will give her all to bringing down those responsible for bringing pain into her life. Starting with her cheating werewolf of an ex-boyfriend! Yet, the question Shia doing all of this of her own volition or is she being herded into this deadly blood feud?

Ms. Haines has outdone herself yet again! I really enjoyed seeing Shia kick some butt and get down and dirty. Some readers may feel that Shia isn't being herself, but everyone has their breaking point. Plus she's worried that she may be becoming an Other herself. Shia's been pushed and pulled in so many directions and now she's had enough. Yet things aren't always as black and white as people believe and everyone has their own motives. Stalking the Others is a shining star in the H&W Investigations series! With the way everything pulls apart and collides again creating some new twists and neatly resolving old issues, I am eagerly anticipating the next book, Forsaken by the Others!

H&W Investigations Series: Hunted by the Others (1), Taken by the Others (2), Deceived by the Others (3), Stalking the Others (4), Forsaken by the Others (5)

  1. I think this is the first review I've read. I really thought the 3rd book was pretty lousy, so I'm glad it appears to be picking up.
