When Rachel Douglas moves to Sunset, Oregon at the invitation of her estranged childhood friend, Sarah, she discovers Sarah was not truthful about her reasons for abandoning her beach house. Rachel is determined to stay even after someone tries to scare her away.

Then Rachel meets Michael Archer and says that only a serious character flaw would prevent her from falling in love with him. Wouldn’t you know it—he has more than one, but she falls in love with him anyway.

Michael’s complicated past threatens their hopes for the future. After a double homicide, Rachel must choose either to run with Michael or to live without him.

Review: The Sunset Witness is told in a very interesting format, the start a police report and then into a narrative by aspiring author Rachel Douglas. Rachel moved out to Sunset to take over her friend's lease and job while she went on to something new. Rachel, a former lawyer, needed a change of pace. Yet, nothing in Sunset is as it seems. People who aren't who they say they are and no one is telling the full truth. I liked the way the story was told and how you are given tidbits to figure out the truth along the way. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing and the ending is a shocker. Very well done!
