Review: The New Death and others is a delightful mix of poetry and prose dealing in modern fantasy. With satire and puns exposing modern life to a fun-house mirror view, each story and poem is a wonder to read. Set in a world where the Gods still live, the stories/poems showcase the author’s creativity and imagination. Mr. Hutchings has a quick wit and a deft hand with language which will enthrall readers. Drawing inspiration from Egypt and the Egyptian pantheon, the Arabian Nights, and eerily familiar characters and settings, The New Death and others is an engaging and fun read!
