I have always been fascinated by WWII tales of survival and doing everything you can to maintain your livelyhood when the whole world is trying to take it form you. I love the concept of this book, I think it's engrossing and can't wait to read more by this author.
This story fell a bit flat for me. I was so looking forward to reading it too. I just never really got into the story and I never really fell in love with Lena.
