Synopsis: Her town's lack of men may make headlines, but it isn't news to Dakota Hendrix. The beautiful blonde has bigger problems to deal with, such as overseeing the romance reality competition filming in Fool's Gold. Screening eligible bachelors is a difficult enough task, but Dakota hits an unexpected snag when a sexy stranger comes to town.

Finn Anderssen will do anything to keep his twin brothers--the perfect contestants--off the show. Despite Dakota's better judgment, she finds herself drawn to the mysterious outsider. Like her, Finn knows about heartbreak and how a family can fall apart, so she doesn't dare to hope for anything more than a fling. After all, even in the Land of Happy Endings, finding true love is never as easy as it looks on TV.

Review: Welcome to Fool's Gold - a town where the women outnumber the men by a large margin. A enterprising TV producer has decided to hold a reality TV show to bring romance to Fool's Gold and Dakota Hendrix is the town liaison to the producer. Enter Finn Anderssen, who is trying to keep his brothers off the show and back in college. As Dakota and Finn's worlds collide, the heat is intense.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was a great story about a tight-knit small town and its people. The romance was sweet and the characters were well fleshed out and compelling. One issue I did have is the fact that Finn kept calling a 30-year old woman a cougar when the age difference between her and his brother was maybe 8 years. I was definitely drawn to the small-town feel and relationships of Fool's Gold - I hope you will be, too.

Fool's Gold series: Chasing Perfect (1), Almost Perfect (2), Sister of the Bride (2.5), Finding Perfect (3), Only Mine (4), Only Yours (5), Only His (6), Only Us (6.1), Almost Summer (6.2), Summer Days (7), Summer Nights (8), All Summer Long (9)

  1. I love the Fool's Gold series. I devoured the series, one right after another and I'm impatiently waiting for Only Yours.

Not sure if you know since you didn't list them, but there are 3 book before Only Mine - Chasing Perfect, Almost Perfect and Finding Perfect.
