Format: Ebook
Series: Donovan Brewery Series: Good Girls Don't (1), Bad Boys Do (2), Real Men Will (3)

With her long ponytail and sparkling green eyes, Tessa Donovan looks more like the girl next door than a businesswoman—or a heartbreaker. Which may explain why Detective Luke Asher barely notices her when he arrives to investigate a break–in at her family's brewery. He's got his own problems—starting with the fact that his partner, Simone, is pregnant and everyone thinks he's the father.

Tessa has her hands full, too. Her brother's playboy ways may be threatening the business, and the tension could tear her tight–knit family apart. In fact, the only thing that could unite the Donovan boys is seeing a man come after their "baby" sister. Especially a man like Luke Asher. But Tessa sees past the rumors to the man beneath. He's not who people think he is—and neither is she.

I adore Victoria Dahl's books. SOO MUCH. This series beginning did not disappoint me at all. The main thing I love about her novels is that way she draws the reader into the characters' lives. She pulls you in and you exist in that whole world, almost like watching a TV show yet you get the emotional connection too. Anyway...about the book. Ms. Dahl is the reason I am currently in love with contemporary romance.

I loved the book. It was well written, the characters have amazing dimension. I love the way Ms. Dahl writes a book that is not over the top in drama but enough to keep the reader reading. The level of drama fits the world and  the book. So, why did I give it a 4/5? Tessa. She is an excellent character, do not get me wrong, but she annoyed the crap out of me. Tessa is the cause of most of the emotional strife in the book, and all because she thinks she knows what is best for everyone. I wanted to smack her at the end of the book. She is the only reason I gave it a 4/5.

I know this book is the first in a trilogy. I think the next book is the naughty brother, I can't wait to see the kind of women who tames him. DEFINITELY READ THIS BOOK.
