Synopsis: When Corine Solomon touches an object, she knows its history. But her own future concerns her more and more. Now back in Mexico, she's running her pawnshop and trying to get a handle on her strange new powers, for she might need them. And soon.

Then former ally Kel Ferguson walks through her door. Muscled and tattooed, Kel looks like a convict but calls himself a holy warrior. He carries a warning for Corine: The Montoya cartel is coming for her - but they don't pack just automatic weapons. The Montoyas use warlocks, shamans, voodoo priests - anything to terminate trouble.

And Corine has become enemy number one...

Review: Corine is in for some hellish times ahead. Montoya wants her dead, Chance is out of her life, and Kel is back in town. I loved this book, the third in the Corine Solomon series - each one gets better! Ms. Aguirre has created characters that you'll have strong feelings about and a rich world.

Shady Lady is full of action, adventure, some romance, mystery, and down-right bad-assitude! And there's even an Eddie Izzard reference!!! I laughed out loud when I read that :-) To me, the story, which was very well-written, was also a little bittersweet. It's nice to see Corine coming into her own and learning her strengths and limitations. But can she deal with the sacrifices it takes to get her life back from Montoya? Please, please, please pick up this series - you won't be disappointed!

Corine Solomon Series: Blue Diablo (1), Hell Fire (2), Shady Lady (3), Devil's Punch (4), Agave Kiss (5)
