Murdered before he could wed Regin the Radiant, warlord Aidan the Fierce seeks his beloved through eternity, reborn again and again into new identities, yet with no memory of his past lives.

When Regin encounters Declan Chase, a brutal Celtic soldier, she recognizes her proud warlord reincarnated. But Declan takes her captive, intending retribution against all immortals—unaware that he belongs to their world.

Yet every reincarnation comes with a price, for Aidan is doomed to die when he remembers his past. To save herself from Declan’s torments, will Regin rekindle memories of the passion they once shared—even if it means once again losing the only man she could ever love?

I honestly believe that I am going to come up with a special 'Kresley Cole Rating'. It will be a rating so unique and awesome that the book must have rocked, or was written by Kresley Cole. I aspire to write as well as she does one day. Ok...gushing is going to get worse, just a warning now.
I loved this book, just as much as I have loved each and every single book before it. I love that Ms. Cole is consistent, she is ambitious, and she knows how to write a sensual scene that will curl your claws...I mean toes. I fall into this world and these characters so easily and I have started a list of characters I want books or stories on one day in hopes she will write theirs, and never ever stop.

This book truly felt darker to me than the previous ten but these characters certainly had some trials and tribulations. Ms. Cole certainly knows how to torture a character and when she does, she makes sure she goes all out. The things that Declan had to endure in his life time and then also what Regin had to go through as well was insane. Crazy....that they could still be together and find a common ground after everything they had been through in a millennium.

I adore bad ass and horrible as Lothaire is....come on...COME ON! Anyway, enough of that, I am sure Nix knows who she will be with (not Bertil) but we will hopefully find out one day...maybe a Lord of the Underworld (Gena Showalter Plug)...we will have to wait and see. I can't wait for the next book. I say that in every review and I truly mean it every time I say it. As long as Ms. Cole is writing I will continue to read, spread, and love her work.

I would like to add since my last review of one of Ms. Cole's books I have gotten TWO other people hooked on the series *feels proud* *round of gold clapping* If you haven't read these books....YOU NEED TOO!

  1. I think the thing Declan and Regin had to go through were too much. Declan comes off as a monster.

Here's the full review on my blog (warning massive SPOILER ALERT):

  2. I so hope white queen and black king hook up, but I'm hearing that won't be the case.

Wonder if Mike Rowe will make a cameo soon for Nix? ;)

  3. This book is not known. The "Love me if you dare" I read his book. The loved it. Good writer, so I think you will like it too. Purchasing and then, as we will translate it.
