Once, Sarah Bingham's biggest challenge was making her students pay attention in class. Now, after rescuing a wounded stranger, she's landed in the middle of a battle between corrupt vampires and powerful immortals who also need blood to survive. Roland Warbrook is the most compelling man Sarah has ever laid hands on. But his desire for her is mingled with a hunger he can barely control...

In his nine centuries of immortal existence, no woman has tempted Roland as much as Sarah. But asking her to love him is impossible - when it means forfeiting the world she's always known, and the life he would do anything to protect...

Review: Darkness Dawns is sizzling hot! Sarah was just minding her business - and her garden - when she heard two strange men talking about hurting another man. She follows them and saves Roland from being killed regardless of the danger to herself. But there's a lot more to Roland than she ever could have imagined. He's an Immortal Guardian - a human with supernatural powers who was turned by a vampire, but became something so much more. Now they're both in the villain's cross-hairs and Roland will do anything to keep Sarah safe - but she's no shy wallflower herself. She's the only one who has ever touched his heart...

I highly enjoyed this book - the characters, the mythology of the Immortal Guardians vs. vampires, and the action - oh, and don't forget the passion! My only issue with this story is how quickly some of the things happen. There does seem to be a little deus ex machina happening toward the very end. However, these things won't keep me from reading the next Immortal Guardians book! I don't want to give too much away because I think you should read this wonderful story for yourself!

Immortal Guardians series: Darkness Dawns (1), Night Reigns (2), Phantom Shadows (3)
