I am finally to the fabulous Sharie Kohler. I am so honored to have her here for an interview in celebration of her newest release, Haunted By Your Touch. It's an anthology with Jeaniene Frost and Shayla Black, the two ladies I did interviews with the last two days! They are all super sweet and amazing...anyway...enough fan girl time :)
Ms. Kohler is also the author of other paranormal romance books, which I have no had the opportunity to read, YET, such as:
Ms. Kohler is also a YA author under the name Sophie Jordan:
Now for the interview:
(BBB): Tell us a bit about your story in Haunted By Your Touch...
(SK): The Darkest Temptation is Lily and Luc's story from my Moon Chasers series. They were first introduced in my novel TO CRAVE A BLOOD MOON. They're already happily together in TO CRAVE A BLOOD MOON, soDarkest Temptation is really their prequel. So many readers had questions about them and how they got together -- it was a joy to give them their own story. Lily is a full lycan and Luc is a hybrid lycan. Lily is a newly infected lycan and she thinks Luc is her "alpha" ... that killing him will save her and break her curse.
(BBB): Do you and your family have any Halloween traditions?
(SK): We love pumpkin patch and picking out our pumpkins is something we look forward to every year. We really get into carving our pumpkin and do a different face/design every year. Of course we get into dressing up and trick-o-treating, too -- and watching the traditional Halloween shows ( , etc). I also tend to bake more during this time of year. My pumpkin shaped peanut butter cookies are a big tradition. in our house. Visiting the
(BBB): Being a paranormal romance author do you find it more difficult to do a short story or anthology? Do you usually incorporate them into your already created worlds or do you create new ones?
(SK): My novella was just long enough - coming in at around 100 pages. At that length it wasn't too difficult to write. Writing anything shorter would have been a greater challenge. My goal was to simply begin the novella as close to the climax as possible. And yes, taking characters from my already existing world definitely helped. At least I was acquainted with the hero and heroine and I knew the paranormal world. I didn't haven't to reinvent a new world.
