Synopsis:
Noleen-Anne Harris Morgan Maypother has always been a slightly eccentric girl, which is why she feels so at home at the gothic New Newbridge Academy from the moment she first arrives.

Noh is sent to stay at the strange old boarding school while her entomologist father is chasing specimens in the Appalachians. Almost immediately she begins to poke around, curious to learn more about her mysterious new home. She finds herself drawn to an old, burned-out dormitory on the far end of campus. There she's startled to find several other kids hanging around the abandoned building, especially since the teachers keep telling her there are no students staying at the school during the summer. Soon Noh discovers that these other students are actually ghosts and that she's the only "realie" who can see them - and, now that the ghosts have started to disappear, the only one who can save them.

Review: Noh's found herself at the New Newbridge Academy for the summer while her dad's away. She's exploring and runs into a few kids who are staying there - but they're not ordinary kids, they're ghosts. Noh's caught up in finding out why the ghosts are disappearing and why the ants in the area are acting so strange.

This is a fun and entertaining story about a girl with a strange family legacy who is thrust into a mysterious new place when her dad is off on his own adventure. While she's staying with her aunt at the Academy, she's drawn into a mystery which has many facets and a very interesting and thought-provoking ending. I hope Noh has many more adventures! Highly recommended for kids of all ages.
