Synopsis:
Weather Warden Joanne Baldwin has defeated her longtime enemy and saved the world - again. But at what cost? Standing at ground zero for the last attack, Joanne, the Djinn David, and the Earth herself have been poisoned by a substance that is destroying the magic that keep the world alive.

Joanne and David have already lost their powers, but that's just the beginning. The poison that has seeped into the planet is destabilizing the entire balance of power, bestowing magic on those who have never had it and taking it at critical moments from those who need it. It's just a matter of time before the delicate balance of nature explodes into chaos, destroying mankind - and every living thing on Earth - with it.

Review: This is another blockbuster, and unfortunately also the last, installment in the Weather Wardens series. Jo and David, along with Cher and Kevin, are racing against time to make Mother Earth go back to sleep and try to save everything on Earth. Nothing is going according to plan and Jo must give more of herself than she ever has. But will it be enough and will it be in time to save everything Jo cares about...including David?

I was very sorry to see that this is the last book in the Weather Wardens series with Joanne Baldwin. I have been reading this series since the first book hit the shelves and have always been impressed with the storytelling, characters, mythos, and just everything else. I love this series and the final book is no exception. Thankfully, everything is wrapped up, but not necessarily how you might think. If you've never read these books, start at the beginning and fall in love with the world of the Weather Wardens!

Weather Wardens Series: Ill Wind (1), Heat Stroke (2), Chill Factor (3), Windfall (4), Firestorm (5), Thin Air (6), Gale Force (7), Cape Storm (8), Total Eclipse (9)

  1. I can't believe it's overrrr!! But at the same time, I'm glad it ended and wasn't dragged on to the point where I hated all the characters (*cough cough* Anita Blake!!) This was a great ending to the series!
