Just a Moment of Your Time

First off...my surgery went very well, the doc says everything looked excellent and that I should have a great recovery. It will take 4 months though :( Oh well, I need to be able to walk when I am old. For those of you who are curious, I had an open plantar fascia release...not very fun.

Second, today is the last day to enter the ereader giveaway. The contest ends at midnight. NO EXCEPTIONS. You can enter through the link on my sidebar if you haven't already.

Third, I reached 1400+ followers today, so THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. I never could have dreamed I would have this many people caring about what I say about books. I adore you all and thank you for your continued support of me, my blog, my co-blogger Star, and my soldiers overseas.

Thanks again, so much, you have no idea how much you all mean to me!

  2. Monica congratulations on a successful surgery. Stay with what they tell you and your recuperation will go smoothly hopefully. 4 months seems like a long time but it passes fast when you read!!!

Nice GFC count and congrats on that too, just goes to show that reaching out gets returns in a big way!

  4. That's great news. I am so glad it went well. I know your pain. I had surgery 6 weeks ago and it was not successful, they called it off due to complications and will try again with someone more senior next week. Surgery is always a horrible experience but I am glad that it went well for you :) Wishing you a speedy recovery

    And 1400 followers! Thats crazy!

  9. I'm so sorry to hear that you had to have surgey, but I'm glad to hear it went well. I've been down with a bad cellulitis infection in my left leg for a month (I was in the hospital for 9 days!), but at least I don't have 4 months of recovery ahead of me (at least, I hope not!). Hang in there girl...we'll be here reading and keeping you in our thoughts.

Congrats on the 1400 followers! You really have a great blog. =O)

  12. I'm not sure which is worse what you had or the long recovery. I'd say the long recovery is worth it. To not have to walk around crippled from the pain or just decline everything that had to do with walking makes a person feel like in invalid. You'll feel better for having had the surgery, but do listen to what they tell you to do. I'm glad it was successful. Half the battle is won already.

Congrats on your followers. Amazing job with what you do on the site and how you give back. Perhaps we should do a bloggers weekend when we collect books for our soldiers and organize a mass donation. Not to think about now. Just recuperate.
