Book Blurb: She may resist his bite, but she can't resist his charms…
Werewolf princess Blu Masterson won't allow her seductive vampire husband to consummate their marriage with his bite, marking her forever. Alone in a secluded estate with her sworn enemy, Blu curses the marriage arranged to bring their rival nations together, especially since Creed Saint-Pierre calls out to her most feral desires.
When Blu uncovers her pack's secret plot to destroy the vampire nation—and Creed—she is forced to confront her growing feelings for her sexy undead husband. Will she choose the only life she's ever known or accept his vampire bite?
Book Review: I absolutely adored every single page of this book. I love Blu and I love Creed and I love them together. In this book there is a ton of action, lots of blood shed, super sexy paranormal creatures, and some lovely sensual scenes. I like how Ms. Hauf doesn't just find some lame excuse for Blu and Creed to fall in love. She makes them work at it like real people have to do. This is Romeo and Juliet meets Underworld in reverse. I really adore this book and I will buy it when it comes out. I love love love it!

Interview with Michele Hauf:
(BBB): What is your favorite food?
(MH):Chocolate. Most especially chocolate and salt, so chocolate-covered pretzels really rock my world.
(BBB): Who is your most favorite character creation?
(MH): Severo, the werewolf from MOON KISSED. I resisted writing werewolves for so long, and when I finally surrendered, I really fell in love with the big hairy dude.
(BBB): Why Vamps and Weres?
(MH): I’ve been writing vamps since the early 90s. My first book, DARK RAPTURE, pubbed in 1997, was a vamp romance, so they are close to my heart. I got interested in vampires after watching the remake of Dark Shadows starring Ben Crosse. Weres entered my stories later, but I figure if vampires exist in my world, so too, do werewolves.
(BBB): How old were you when you wrote your first story?
(MH): I’ve been imagining stories since I was probably eight. I didn’t write the first one down until after my son was born and I was on maternity leave and needed something to do while he napped.
(BBB): Do you have any pets?
(MH): Two cats: Toast and Maxwell. Toast hates Maxwell. Max will continuously attempt to get Toast to like him, even if it means defying the claws of death.
(BBB): Love the name of Creed's sword, how did you come up with that? seems simple enough but I want to hear your thoughts.
(MH): Wolfsbane, right? (quickly paging through HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND to make sure I remember that correctly). :-) I figured it an appropriate name for something that takes off werewolf heads. Even though, Creed originally got it from a werewolf who was trying to kill him. I’m sure it was called something different while in the werewolf’s hands. And Creed added the silver inlay after he claimed the sword. Just a little something special for the werewolves he goes after.
(BBB): Whats your favorite scent?
(MH): Hmm, I’m not a perfume chick because colognes and strong fragrances give me a headache. That said, I love the natural oil perfumes from Black Phoenix Alchemy lab, and any scent that smells like chocolate, root beer, or cloves, does it for me. I tend to give my characters a favorite scent, but it’s often clove, vanilla, sassafras, or something fruity.
(BBB): If you were stuck on a desert island for a month and could only bring 3 things, what would they be?
(MH): First thing that popped into my mind was my Kindle, but recharging that would be impossible. So...I’d grab the Gormenghast novels by Mervyn Peake (a huge freakin’ tome) that I’ve been meaning to read for a decade now (I’m too intimidated by the hugeness of said tome) and finally dive into that (the TV series rocked, starring Johnathon Rhys Meyers). Then I’d have to have paper and a pilot precise V5 rolling ball pen (purple or red) to write whatever came to mind. And probably a picture of my hubby. Aww, I know, everyone sigh now. :-)
(BBB): Can you share a bit about what you are working on now?
(MH): I’m working on SEDUCING THE VAMPIRE which should be out January 2011 from HQN. It’s in the same vampire/were world I’m currently calling Beautiful Creatures. This story is a little different in that it takes place in modern times and the 18th C. In fact, the romance is entirely historical, and the action/adventure part is modern. The hero, Rhys Hawkes, goes on a quest to find the Vampire Snow White. And that’s all I can say right now.
(BBB): Who is your favorite author? or some of them?
(MH): Of course I love Anne Rice. Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter are must-buys. Jim Butcher, Neil Gaiman, Alexandre Dumas and Laura Kinsale, just to name a few.
(MH): Ha! It’s funny, a few reviewers have revealed their girl-crushes for Blu. I have one, too. It all started with a picture of Angelina Jolie. When I create my characters I like to find pictures, and (I’ve attached the pic) this one of Jolie screamed ‘sassy, werewolf princess’ to me. And seeing that green wig sort of jump-started Blu’s fetish for wearing wigs all the time. Blu is the kind of woman I think everyone might like to be, if only for a day. Fun, funky, sexy and fearless, and just out there, but in a good way.
(BBB): If you could only read one book for the rest of you life what would it be?
(MH): It’s a tie: The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz or A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle
(BBB): It was such an honor to host Michele Hauf here. I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us!
