So, I recently came into some cash...*rolls eyes* not really (I wish! :)...and wanted to offer everyone one more shot at an ereader. I love mine so much...I can't even imagine living without it. But...some people don't like Sony, and I get that...so I'm gonna let you choose. *TA DA*
Alright Alright...you are not into ereaders or ebooks??? How about 150$ GC to the bookstore of your choice instead. GO!
*donation of this ereader came from a loving family who is using it as a 'thank you' to me for all that I do or deployed Soldiers. They wish to remain anonymous, although they might allow me to reveal thier identity to the winner so a card may be sent in 'Thanks'*
So...basically I am having a giveaway to win a Nook, a Kindle, a Sony Touch, or a Sony Pocket....*GASPS all around* I know....I know...the venerations can wait until another day...I'll still be here.
For every 50 followers I get I will host a twitter giveaway for a book of your choice.
Here's what you need to do, and you must do all:

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 260 Newer› Newest»I filled out the form but forgot to put my blog's address. I'd listed your contest on my blog's sidebar
http://startingfresh-gaby317.blogspot.com/
The answer: I would love to be Arthur. Despite the heartache and pain that he faces, he accomplishes so much. His legacy lasts forever.
Thanks for the entry
gaby317nyc at gmail dot com
I would love to be Queen Guinevere because she got both the king and Sir Lancelot.
dlodden at frontiernet dot net
I would definitely want to be Guinevere. =]
katieb206@gmail.com
Okay I filled out your form.
Answer to questions:
I would love to be Merlin, who doesn't want to be a cool wizard!
Stormi
I would love to be Merlin just so I can have awesome magic powers!
lilazncutie1215 @ yahoo.com
if Merlin were a girl that would be my pick.
I want to be Merlin! Because magic is cool.
I would totally be Lady Guinevere. Choosing between King Arthur and Lancelot would be my toughest decision. :-)
that's a no brainer--i'd have to go with merlin because he's a cool, powerful wizard.
thanks for the giveaway and happy holidays!!
bookmakeupreview AT gmail DOT com
I would be Guinevere. Oh to have the king and the knight!
lizzi0915 at aol dot com
I would love to be Guinevere! She had the love of two awesome men!
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
Suzanne
quzy at mac dot com
P.S. I hit the publish your reply button before adding my email, so I deleted my first comment! And no holiday cheer yet either! :D
I think I would want to be Merlin.
Thanks for the chance to win, and I will be sure to thank anyone I meet who is in the armed services. Happy Holidays!
I hope I filled your form out right. I don't think I understand some of the questions. lol You are awesome for doing all these giveaways!!!
For sure it would have to be Merlin. The fun tricks you could play on people... *evil laugh*
Thanks Monica!
sullivansmom101 at gmail dot com
I'd choose to be Merlin. He was a good wizard and helped to form Arthur into the man he was and Camelot to the place it was.
librarypat AT comcast DOT net
I don't know. I think I'd kinda like to be the Lady of the Lake, just to be different. She's pretty cool.

And just a little note I think might make you smile- at my local craft fair, some people had a booth with lots of Christmas cards, and anyone could sign them and put a message in, and then have the cards sent to soldiers, for free. They even had crayons and a little table for kids who were too young to write a message to draw a picture in the cards! And there were lines clear across the street.
Well,it made ME smile.
i guess id like to be Merlin! magic eh? =)

I know it's not original, but Merlin would. I'd wave my magic wand and get my children to behave non-stop for the next 20 years.

Answering One Question: If You Could Be Anyone From Arthurian Legend, Who Would You Be And Why?
Even Though King Arthur, Guinevere, And Sir Lancelot Did Not Exist I Would Still Have Loved To Have Been Guinevere. She Had The Love Of Two Great Men. She Represents A Time Of Kings And Knights And Where Chivalry Was Not Dead. And Men Fought For The Hand Of A Fair Maiden.

I would want to be Sir Lucas. I know. He appeared in like, two paragraphs or something before his intestine broke while he was carrying king Aurthur. That is so sad. I don't know why I want to be him (seriously, dying that way is no fun) but...just feel like letting him know there's someone out there who cares.
besides, isn't Lucas a sexy name?

Hello! I filled out the form bit didn't answer the question there, I'll do it here. I would like to be The Lady of the Lake, for she gave Excalibur to Arthur!! Also, I emailed you about the Battle Buddy thing, hopefully we can get some more books together! It is such a great idea, and so important for the soldiers to have more than food to look forward to after their shifts. Thank you for this, as if I ever deploy, I will hope for someone who cares enough, as you do.
Charlie
I'd love to be Elaine of Astolat (the Lady of Shalot). Such tragedy...heartache.

To be honest, I wouldn't want to be any of the characters. Life was too hard back then. If I have to pick one, I'll say Merlin. Hopefully I could use my magic powers to go to a different century and place. LOL!
Guinevere's my choice!
I filled out the form, wasn't entirely sure how to add it up--if I should count that plus one and this comment. I did, but change it if it's wrong.

opheliaday at aol dot com
I would love to be Arthur, although he went through trials and tribulations of being a king, he found a way to overcome it and succeeded. I wish I had half the courage that he had.
natalyd78@yahoo.com
Well that depends on whose version of the Aurthurian legend you follow. I personally love Marion Zimmer Bradley's books and since I love The Mists of Avalon so much I would have to say Vivian, the Lady of the Lake. She tried so hard to maintain the old religions and for them not to be lost they ended up that way anyway. She was such a mistical person and such a divine leader that is why I would choose to be her.
I want to choose someone a little different from everyone else, so Ill go with Morgan Le Fay because she was very sinister, but cunning and clever and never full-on evil. She was determined and relentless in her fight for power and although she isn't the most moral person in Arthurian Legends, she is quite headstrong and I like that.
I would say Merlin because he can do anything with his magical powers! There are so many great Arthurian characters to choose from, though!
Thank you for hosting the contest!!
Awesome contest, thanks!

Great question by the way.
I'm going to be bit different here and say Morganna. Sure she was a ruthless you know what but she knew what she wanted and went after it and she had some pretty cool powers as well. Not sure if anyone one read Once and future King by T.H. White but I loved it. It was one of those books my English teacher made us read but I was glad for it.

Awesome contest, thanks! And I think it's very sweet that you're doing so much for the soldiers out there. :)
Hm, as for Arthurian legend, hard one... I might want to be the Lady of Shalot just because she had such a sad ending. Yay! It's nice not to have to conform with valiance and virtue all the time. ;)
I would choose to be, Elaine of Astolat. She dies of her unrequited love for Lancelot.
I have always found Lancelot fascinating and can imagine the passion and longing he created in Astolat.

Why, I'd love to be King Arthur himself...can't get better than that!
melissaaggie98@att.net
I filled out the from :) so here it goes for me.
For your question this is my answer... I would be Lady Morgana. The reason because she is everything I'm not. She had the pride and strength of a true leader as a woman. Though it may not have been good things it was still required to get where and what she wanted. She was underdog and then came on top. No one had a chance to hurt her really because she would never let them get that close.

I've always been fascinated with The Lady of Shallot since we had to learn about it as a kid in school and while I know her story is totally tragic- so is everyone elses! At least she doesn't have to live in guilt for the rest of her days/be betrayed/is evil.
Thanks for such an awesome competition!
honeychicken(at)gmail(dot)com
Who would I be? Merlin. He's the one who knows what's going on, most of the time.
I'd definitely choose to be Merlin.
As we know he is intelligent and despite his magical ability, he still wise enough to not let his desire lead his way. He relies more on his logic as well as his common sense when dealing with problems and this kind of balance is what we need when we're facing obstacles =)
You're right...Such a tough decision! I would have to go with Lancelot...he's such a bad-ass!
Thanks!

But when it comes down to it.. even though I am a woman.. I would probably choose to be King Arthur. And also my runner up would be the Lady of the Lake, who was technically one of the good guys, and got to meet most of the important Arthurian legends.
:3
I think I'd want to be the Lady of the Lake. Don't ask me why. On a sidenote, I was Merlin once in a school play. Yes, I am a girl, and I was Merlin. I was the only one the teacher trusted to memorize the lines (it was the longest part).
My cousin is on his way to Korea, so...that's my soldier connection.
No need to enter me as I have an eReader but I would like to thank the family that donated one for your contest. I have a son-in-law in Afghanistan and I totally support the men and women who are defending our country..without them we would not have the rights that we have as Americans....
Oh snap, I forgot as a side note: My cousin was in Iraq twice and he was sent back due to health complications. His daughter was born while he was away and he finally got to meet her at the age of one
He's not going to return but he's told us stories and I can only hope that the soldiers overseas are taken care of and are very careful for all their loved ones back here. I've sent some letters via some campaigns early in the Iraqi occupation and my cousin, Henry, says that it really cheers the soldiers up :]
thanks for this chance, again :D

I would definitely be Guinevere...who wouldn't LOVE to be Queen.
